The magnificent buildings of Roman Empire were created using travertine. This fine stone has been rediscovered and is now sought after by discerning home owners and developers alike. Suitable for floors, bench tops and walls.
Travertine is a dense, closely compacted form of Limestone found mostly in areas where circulating ground water contains Calcium Carbonate. It often forms around the mouths of hot spring waters. Travertine crystallization occurs when Calcium Carbonate separates from water through evaporation.

Marble when you think about it, Marble is the only building material that almost always gets a wow from a spectator. We call this the wow effect .
Marble is ageless and always remains contemporary. Marble has been used for thousands of years for its beauty, strength and resistance to fire and erosion. The ancient Persians, Romans and Greeks used marble in many buildings and statues. To date, even with advancements in technology, no one has been able to imitate the natural beauty of marble while maintaining characteristics of the real thing.
Marble that forms from the purest Calcite is usually white. Marble containing Limestone is yellow or cream. Marble that contains Serpentine is green. Marble containing Hematite is a reddish color.
